Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and District Election Office have organized a ‘Reel Competition’ to efficiently implement Systematic Voter Education and Election Participation (SVEEP) in Nagpur District. Dr Vipin Itankar, District Election Officer, and CEO Saumya Sharma, District Election Nodal Officer, invite young people to create a reel and share it on social media as part of the Democracy Celebration. They have also encouraged youngsters to participate in the competition by sending detailed information and a reel to email id: sveepngp2024@gmail.com or registering at https://forms.gle/qjPbRf2Q4C1abkAG9.
In the forthcoming Lok Sabha General Election, which will be held in Nagpur district, ‘Mission Distinction’ is being carried out to motivate more than 75% of citizens to vote and to create a culture to increase voter participation. The competition will feature two themes: ‘Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye’ (My First Vote for the Country) and ‘I am a Proud Voter’. Youth aged 18 to 30 can enter the competition until March 24. Participants must create a reel on any one theme and upload it on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) with the hashtags #DeshkaGarv, #VoteKaregaNagpur, and #MeraPehlaVoteDeshKeLiye, as well as tag deonagpur (Facebook), deo_nagpur (Instagram), and deo_nagpur (Twitter) as a requirement. The reel with the most likes and views will be designated the official one.
