-Special guidance by Dr. Meena Patil on “Cancer In Gynaecology”
Women play a pivotal role in shaping a healthy society, adeptly balancing both professional and familial responsibilities. Acknowledging their invaluable contributions, KRIMS Hospitals in Ramdaspeth, Nagpur, celebrated International Women’s Day as an Appreciation Day. The theme for this year’s event was “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”
The event commenced with an inauguration by Ketki Arbat, Director of KRIMS Hospital, who emphasized on being better person rather than comparing between men and women. She stressed on the fact that hardwork has no substitute. As per the theme of our celebration the women in our nation are already proving their mettle, she added.
Renowned anchor and Chief Guest Poonam Kukreja gave message through her journey fighting all odds. She said if you are ready to give your utmost, you will surely get back all the love, appreciation and support. At this auspicious occasion Dr. Meena Patil, a well-known Gynecologist in Central India and Head of the Gynecology Department at KRIMS Hospitals, offered special guidance on Gynecological cancers, including Breast Cancer and Vaginal Cancer, while addressing common misconceptions. She elaborated on the importance of regular self-checkups and provided insights on cervical cancer, HPV vaccination with effective treatment methods. She told that women have unique gift of multitasking. They should not be taken for granted rather they should be valued for their strength and contribution to the society. The event facilitated an open dialogue where women employees also engaged in a candid dialogue with Dr. Patil seeking clarification and advice.
Dr. Swapna Khanzode, General Physician insisted that expressing your thoughts and feelings would definitely make women’s life better. Dr. Gauri Gadge, a Consultant Pulmonologist pointed out that women need to believe in themselves and respect each other. While Dietician and the Head Nurse provided guidance on women’s health and nutrition. They shared valuable tips and insights regarding to the women wellness.
On this appreciation day, KRIMS Hospital saluted all men, women and their families who have recognise and supported women’s calibre and strength. The program concluded with refreshments distributed to all hospital employees, coinciding with Maha Shivratri and Women’s Day falling on the same day.
