Mother Dairy, a top milk supplier, plans to invest INR 750 Crore to boost its Dairy and F&V (Fruits and Vegetables) processing capacities. This includes setting up two new plants worth INR 650 Crore and expanding existing facilities with an investment of INR 100 Crore across key locations.
Mother Dairy plans to establish a greenfield processing facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra, with an estimated investment of INR 525 Crore. This plant will initially process 600,000 liters per day, with the potential to expand to one million liters per day. Serving the central and southern regions, it will be a greenfield project.
The company is also intending to allocate INR 125 Crore for the establishment of a fruit processing facility in Karnataka, operating under the brand name ‘Safal’. It is anticipated that both of these plants will be operational within a span of two years.
Currently, Mother Dairy operates nine company-owned processing plants dedicated to dairy products, boasting a collective milk processing capacity exceeding 5 million litres per day. Additionally, the company possesses four plants for handling horticultural products (fruits and vegetables), and it collaborates with 15 associated plants for the production of edible oils.
