Diabetes sufferers no longer need to prick their fingers with a needle to check their blood pressure or sugar levels since researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, in Himachal Pradesh, have created a balloon that can accomplish both tasks.
A non-invasive glucose tester requires the patient to simply inflate its balloon; artificial intelligence (AI) was utilized in the device’s development.
Researchers are claiming that this will improve the test results of diabetes. Recently, samples of 550 patients were collected and the results of 98 per cent of the tests were accurate.
The device has eight sensors in it which uses the volatile organic compound in human breath to test the sugar level in the blood. The device will cost around 710.000.
