Vikas Thakre is likely to be the Congress candidate against Nitin Gadkari. The Senior Congress leaders in Nagpur have decided that Thakre should get the ticket against Gadkari.
Former Minister and senior congress leader Satish Chaturvedi moved the resolution for Thakre while former minister Nitin Raut seconded the resolution.
It is likely that Vikas thakre’s name will be announced by the Congress High Command. Apart from Vikas Thakre, names of MLAs Abhijit Wanjari, Nitin Kumbhalkar, Praful Gudadhe were also discussed by the Congress. But senior Congress leaders have preferred Vikas Thakre.
