The Sub Registrar’s office will be open on holidays in March for customer convenience. Public holidays are scheduled for March 23, March 24, and from March 29 to March 31, resulting in government office closures for five days this month.
However, the Inspector General of Registrar and Controller of Stamps in Pune, Hiralal Sonawne, has issued a notification to keep sub-registrar offices open in both Nagpur (Urban) and Nagpur (Rural) on these days.
The government typically publishes Ready Reckoner rates on April 1 each year, leading to increased demand for property document registrations at sub-registrar offices. Consequently, the government has decided to keep these offices open on the specified days.
Additionally, to meet the target for the financial year 2023-24 under the Maharashtra Stamp Duty (Abhay Yojana), customer footfall is higher than usual for the registration of sale deeds. Therefore, all District Stamp Duty Collectors’ offices and sub-registrar offices in the state will remain open on public holidays.
