[12:49, 22/03/2024] Dhanshree Badhe: In the early hours of Thursday, a Special Squad led by Niketan Kadam Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V) entered Sangam Farmhouse in Tara Nagar, near Yashodhara Nagar Police Station, and arrested 17 people who were gambling with playing cards. Cops confiscated cash worth over Rs 25.99 lakh from them.
The accused dwell in Bhilgaon, Pili Nadi, Lashkaribagh, Yashodhara Nagar, and Uppalwadi. The accused have been identified as Vikrant Vijay Kangale, Ganesh Tarabahadur, Gunwant Anandraoji makde, Suresh Pralhad Sahare, Chandrashekhar Kashinath Mathure, Prakash Ganpatraoji Bhalavi, Sushil Dilipraoji Shinde, Amarendrasingh Maheshwarsingh, Mohan Bapurao Makde, Preetam Gajanan Nagdive, Nitin Shankarrao Barbatkar, Siddharth Baburao Nagdive, Swapnil Pundlik Gudadhe, Aniket Kumbhare, Akshay krishnarao Madavi, and Prakash Chandrabhanji Mundle.
A case has been registered against the accused under the applicable Gambling Act sections.
