Nagpur Municipal Corporation has given a big relief by deciding to increase the daily water supply to 10 MLD. Currently, the city was getting 710 MLD of water per day, now it has increased to 720 MLD.
Considering the increasing demand of water in the city, this additional stock will be taken from Pench and Kanhan. The senior officials of the water supply department informed that this increase has been made for the last three days.
This year there is abundant stock in the Kanhan river and there will not be much water scarcity in this summer. Most of the water supply to the city comes from Totladoh. Currently, the reservoir has a stock of 61.90. 720 MLD of water supply to the city every day comes from Pench and Kanhan, of which 225 MLD comes from Kanhan river. And for the rest of the water.
The Municipal Corporation not only supplies water to the city, but also to Godhani Municipal Council, Bokhara and Tirodi. Officials informed that 2 MLD water is being supplied to these areas every day.
