Acknowledging officer grade vacancies, the Maharashtra Government undertook a reshuffle, appointing three officers to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), including a Deputy Municipal Commissioner and two Assistant Municipal Commissioners. Ahead of the general elections, two Deputy Municipal Commissioners completed their three-year tenure and were transferred, necessitating the redistribution of responsibilities among Assistant Municipal Commissioners.
To address the situation, Shivaji Gawali from CEO, Group-A, Selection Grade, was appointed as Deputy Municipal Commissioner, filling one of the vacancies. Dr. Vijay Dwase, Assistant Commissioner, Grade-I, and Ashok Garate, both from the direct Assistant Municipal Commissioner grade, were posted as Assistant Municipal Commissioners. They are instructed to assume their new roles promptly.
