In an effort to deter students from being excessively reliant on mobile phones and television, a teacher in a remote school located in Borimajra, Umred tehsil, initiated the establishment of a library catered specifically for children.
Eknath Pawar, the teacher leading this initiative, has implemented his idea by gathering books from various zilla parishad schools that would otherwise remain unused and collecting dust.
Having gathered 400 diverse books, Eknath Pawar established the children’s library in a location easily accessible for the students. The collection of books varies a range of materials including magazines, biographies of eminent figures in India, competitive examination guides, and short stories imbued with moral lessons. Pawar’s primary aim in launching the library is to instill life values, cultivate a reading culture among students, nurture their personalities from an early age, and foster their comprehensive development.
