The management of Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR) plans to add more adventure activities to its adventure camp shortly in order to enhance eco-tourism in the PTR’s buffer zone in Kolitmara village, West Pench. To attract more tourists and environment enthusiasts, the administration intends to introduce All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rides and zorbing at the camp.
Dr Prabhunath Shukla, Deputy Director PTR, stated that the management plans to hire these ATVs from an adventure firm, which will also take care of their maintenance.
The management already runs an adventure camp in Kolitmara where tourists may go paramotoring and take hot air balloon rides. Kolitmara village is graced with charming natural beauty and the forest, allowing travellers to appreciate the beauty of the open blue sky and surroundings.
Dr. Shukla added, “Along with paramotoring and hot air balloon ride, the ATV ride and zorbing will attract more tourists and nature lovers in PTR for duel enjoyment of Jungle safari and adventure sports” .
Each passenger is expected to pay Rs 2,500 for the ATV trip and Rs 1,500 for zorbing.
