Under the program of the Duke of Edinburgh’s – International Award for Young People, Nusrat Chimthanawala of CENTRE POINT SCHOOL, WARDHAMAN NAGAR was a proud recipient of the Gold Award in the recently held ceremony at India International Centre, New Delhi.
The grand ceremony was conducted on 27th March and Nusrat was accompanied by Abha Parashar who also happens to be one of the mentors for the IAYP programme in our school. The Centre Point Group of Schools also won an award for Exemplary Contribution to the Community through Voluntary Services for the year 2023-24.
Parashar accepted this prestigious award on behalf of the schools. Nusrat’s mentor Rehana Badar was over the moon while her prodigy won this coveted prize. This award was given to her by Edwin Kimani, Global Operations Director of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.
It is highly commendable that the school offers so many extra opportunities for the students to SHINE ON in their fields of interest. Kanchan Ukey, Principal, praised all the students and teachers involved in the IAYP programme.
