To create awareness about the POCSO Act in our organisation which primarily deals with children, CENTRE POINT SCHOOL, WARDHAMAN NAGAR organised a POCSO workshop for its staff and class 4 staff members. Kirti Dini and Dhanashree More from Pune’s Muskaan Foundation familiarised the staff members with various aspects of this act. Their mantra being to protect children from sexual abuse and to establish a child-friendly system for the investigation and trial of such offenses.Foundation for Child Protection-Muskaanis an NGO working to prevent Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) and to help survivors since the year 2000. Muskaan’s entire focus is on the critical issue of CSA, addressing it with a multidisciplinary approach.
Such workshops help the staff in the school to be more vigilant and careful while dealing with such cases. We always hope and pray that we never see out children suffer but since we believe that prevention is always better than cure, so having such workshops regularly is a step in the right direction.
