Gudi Padwa, the Maharashtrian New Year, was celebrated with immense joy and fervor in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on April 9. The festival was welcomed with enthusiasm as people danced to traditional songs and celebrated. ‘Gudi Padwa’ falls on the first day of Chaitra Navratri.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis participated in the Shobha Yatra organized by Nav Varsh Abhinandan Samiti. He said, “This Gudi Padwa is very special because we are celebrating it 500 years after Lord Shriram was enthroned in Ayodhya. Now, a new era of cultural renaissance has begun. Our history is not written by the Mughals or the British. We are guiding the world. With the blessings of Lord Sri Rama, we are going to build a new pillar of victory,” he said.
