The meteorological Department said that the unseasonal rains in Maharashtra will last until April 15. Warning of rains and hailstorm on Friday in East Vidarbha has been predicted. Marathwada and central Maharashtra will also receive heavy rains.
In the next 24 hours Vidarbha, Central Maharashtra and Marathwada may get heavy rains. An orange alert has been issued for Chandrapur, Gadchiroli and Gondia districts. Thunderstorms and showers is possible in Bid, Latur, Dharashiv, Sangli, Parbhani, Yavatmal, Washim, Sambhaji Nagar and Solapur. A yellow alert for these districts has been issued.
The temperature in Vidarbha continued to remain below normal on Friday. Nagpur recorded the highest temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius. Akola was the hottest in the region with a maximum temperature of 35.8 degree Celsius.
