Due to rising summer travel demand, Central Railway (CR) has expanded the Nagpur-Pune-Nagpur Superfast Summer Special to operate three days a week.
Earlier it was planned for two days a week, the special train between the two state cities expanded its operation to three days weekly after a surge in bookings. Railway officials cited the move as a response to increased demand for convenient summer travel options.
Effective from April 18, 2024, the Nagpur to Pune Superfast Summer Special (Train no. 01165) will now run three days a week, departing every Thursday until June 13, 2024 (total 9 trips).
Similarly, the Pune to Nagpur Superfast Summer Special (Train no. 01166) will operate three days a week, departing every Friday, starting from April 19, 2024, until June 14, 2024 (total 9 trips).
The special trains will maintain their current stops and configurations. Reservations and bookings for trains 01165 and 01166, available at special rates, will commence on April 13 at all computerized reservation centers and on the website www.irctc.co.in, as per a railway announcement.
