The newly opened Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday will witness a divine event when sun rays will fall on the forehead of the Ram Lalla’s idol which will be called a Surya Tilak on the occasion of Ram Navami. This will be made possible by using a scientific mechanism involving mirrors and lenses.
The Surya Tilak will be performed from 12:16 pm to 12:21 pm for five minutes. Devotees will be allowed to visit the temple during this time. This would be the first Ram Navami since the consecration of the Ram idol at the new temple, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. The system was tested by the scientists on Tuesday.
