The Nagpur district election office dispatched polling parties to their respective polling stations on Thursday for the first phase of elections.
The first phase of polls in five parliamentary constituencies in Vidarbha–Nagpur, Ramtek, Bhandara-Gondia, Gadchiroli and Chandrapur will be held on April 19.
Nagpur Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar says, “Voting will be held on around 4500 polling booths tomorrow. For that, around 28,000 personnel and officers are working. Dispatch of polling parties to polling stations has already begun. It will be completed by the afternoon. I think we have 100% prepared”
In order to increase the voting percentage, the district administration conducted a massive public awareness campaign at this time. Mission Distinction campaign has been implemented by the administration for more than 75% voting.
