The temperature in the Vidarbha region continued to be above 40 degrees on Saturday. Washim surpassed all districts to become the hottest district in the region with 43.2 degrees Celsius. Nagpur recorded 40.2 degrees, 1.2 degrees lower than Friday.
Akola, which was hottest on Friday recorded 43 degrees. Only Buldana, located at a little high altitude registered the highest temperature at 39.0 degrees.
The temperature in Nagpur is likely to remain around 40 degrees next week.
