The landing area of the Manish Nagar flyover, built to connect the Wardha road double-decker flyover to Manish Nagar has raised concerns among locals due to the presence of a sharp turn, known as the Mahajan Atta Mill turn, where the bridge ends. This has made drivers afraid of accidents. There have already been many accidents at this spot.
While the construction of bridges across the city has greatly improved traffic management, concerns have emerged due to inadequate planning of some bridge landings. This lapse has led to a rise in accidents, with vehicles speeding off specific suspension bridges contributing to the growing safety issue. The Manish Nagar suspension bridge designed to facilitate travel between Manish Nagar and the double-decker bridge on the Wardha road, has faced these difficulties.
To manage traffic to Manish Nagar via Wardha road, a new bypass road has been constructed. Initially intended for one-way traffic towards Manish Nagar, the bypass road has seen unauthorized two-way traffic, resulting in an increase in accidents. Additionally, during the monsoon season, the bypass road becomes flooded, making it impassable. As a result, residents are forced to take a detour of three to four kilometers, worsening their inconvenience.
