Nagpur witnessed yet another disturbing incident highlighting the escalating violence within its pub culture. In the bustling premises of Pirates Pub, located in Dharampeth, four young men fell victim to a vicious assault by two individuals from another group, wielding sticks and beer bottles.
The altercation, stemming from a minor dispute, quickly escalated into a violent brawl. Under the jurisdiction of Ambazari Police Station, the incident happened late Monday night. Among the partygoers was Mirza Aslam Faheem Beg (23, Mahal), accompanied by his companions Bobby alias Prashant Dhote (36, Omanagar), Piyush alias Rishikesh Waghmare (24, Reshimbagh), Rocky Jadhav (35), and Shreyansh Shah (22). An accidental bump between Rocky and Aslam triggered a heated exchange, leading to Aslam physically attacking Rocky.
During the chaos, Rocky used a beer bottle to hit Aslam, causing a severe injury near his eye. Meanwhile, Bobby tried to step in, but ended up getting struck by Aslam. The confrontation escalated as Rocky struck Aslam’s shoulder with a beer bottle, causing him serious injuries.
Aslam’s troubles continued as he endured further assaults from other individuals before the assailants fled. Prompt intervention by a concerned bystander prompted police involvement. Aslam was quickly taken to Mayo Hospital for urgent medical care.
Following Aslam’s complaint, the Ambazari Police Station has initiated legal proceedings against the suspects.
