But unexpectedly, there’s been a significant drop in gold prices recently, especially in Nagpur, where on April 25th, the price fell by about two thousand rupees compared to April 20th.

Gold jewellery holds a prominent place in bridal customs, leading to bustling activity at Nagpur’s jewellery shops. Earlier, the average price of 24-carat gold had soared above 74,000 rupees per ten grams, worrying families getting ready for weddings. Yet, the recent drop in prices has eased their concerns.
Here are the prices recorded in the Nagpur gold market on April 25th: 24-carat gold was priced at 72,200 rupees per ten grams, 22-carat gold at 67,100 rupees per ten grams, 18-carat gold at 56,300 rupees per ten grams, and 14-carat gold at 46,900 rupees per ten grams. Moreover, the price of silver per kilogram was 80,700 rupees.
In comparison, on April 20, 2024, the prices for gold were higher: 24-carat gold was priced at 74,100 rupees per ten grams, 22-carat gold at 68,900 rupees per ten grams, 18-carat gold at 57,800 rupees per ten grams, and 14-carat gold at 48,200 rupees per ten grams. The price of silver per kilogram was 84,100 rupees. As a result, the recent decrease in gold prices amounted to 900 rupees for 24-carat gold per ten grams, 800 rupees for 22-carat gold per ten grams, 500 rupees for 18-carat gold per ten grams, and 500 rupees for 14-carat gold per ten grams. Additionally, there was a decline of 3,300 rupees per kilogram in the price of silver.
