Wardha recorded the highest polling percentage, while Hingoli the lowest among eight Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra, the polling for which was held on Friday.
The average polling on the eight seats in West Vidarbha was approximately 53.51 till 5 pm. Wardha recorded 56.66 percent voting, which is the highest among the eight constituencies. Hingoli constituency, which is on the last rung of the ladder recorded 52.03 percent polling. The figures are approximate as the final calculations will be done after the polling ends at 6 pm.
Polling recorded at other constituencies in the region till 5 pm were Akola – 52.49, Amravati – 54.50, Buldana – 52.24, Nanded – 52.47, Parbhani – 53.79, and Yavatmal-Washim – 54.04 percent.
