In a display of exemplary civic engagement, the Interactors from Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass embraced their role as community stewards on April 18, 2024 by launching a dual-focused initiative that addressed environmental concerns and extended charity to those in need.
Armed with bundles of eco-friendly paper bags crafted from recycled newspapers and calendars, the young activists embarked on a mission to replace polythene bags, known for their detrimental impact on nature. Their visit to nearby grocery and medical stores turned into a compelling campaign as they educated store owners and patrons on the perils of plastic pollution. The community’s receptiveness was a testament to the campaign’s success, with many pledging to abandon polythene bags for good.
The Interactors’ journey of goodwill continued at Jeevandhara, where they brightened the day of specially-abled children by distributing biscuit packets—a small but significant gesture of kindness. The day concluded with the donation of gently used clothing, offering warmth and comfort to the underprivileged.
