As many As 40 passengers of Yeshwantpur Express got food poisoning after eating egg biryani at the railway stall.
When this train was going from Yeshwantpur to Gorakhpur, about two hundred parcels of egg biryani were sent to this train from Jan Aahar at Ballarshah station of Nagpur division of Central Railway. Some parcels were also sent to this train from Jan Aahar stall of Nagpur. After the train started, the passengers ate this biryani.
When Yeshwantpur Express left Itarsi station and moved towards Gorakhpur, the passengers who ate egg biryani started having trouble. About 40 people on the train started vomiting. Some passengers started complaining of nausea and stomach ache. All these passengers were in different coaches. Therefore, initially no one understood the seriousness of this incident. However, when it was learned that passengers were vomiting in the entire train, there was a stir for a while.
After getting information about this, the railway administration took immediate action. In such a situation, a team of doctors boarded the Yeshwantpur Express train at Kanpur railway station. This team of doctors immediately treated everyone. After this, everyone was admitted to various hospitals. Now the condition of all these passengers is stable.
Jan Aahar stall closed
The railway administration has taken this incident seriously and Manish Agarwal, manager of Nagpur division of Central Railway, has started an immediate investigation. The sale of all food items in Jan Aahar at Nagpur and Ballarshah station has been stopped immediately. Food samples from both these stalls have been sent to the laboratory for testing. After receiving its report, further steps will be taken by the railway administration.
