Various cultural programmes have been organised by the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) on May 1 to mark Maharashtra Day and International Dance Day. The event is being organised jointly by SCZCC and the Cultural Affairs Ministry of the Government of India.
SCZCC will present ‘Powada Singing’ by Shahir Ninand Bagde of Vaibhav Sanskrutik Kala Mandal, Nagpur. The programme is dedicated to the martyrs who laid their lives for a united Marahastra.
The ‘Nritya Ninad’ programme will be presented to mark the International Dance Day. Shriya Popat and Swapnapurti Kala Kendra students will present Kathak. Geetanjali Cultural Centre and Nrityabela Foundation will also present the Kathak dance.
The programme is free for the people and will be held at Muktangan open theatre of SCZCC, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
