Three suspected heatstroke deaths have been reported in different parts of Nagpur in the past month. But the exact cause of death will be clear only from the death analysis report.
The body of one of them has been sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem, while the body of the other two has been sent to the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (Mayo).
A death analysis committee meeting will be held by the Health Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation after the autopsy report of these three. After discussing these deaths by experts, it will be determined whether the death was due to heatstroke or other diseases.
What are the symptoms?
Symptoms of heat stroke include headache, fever, vomiting, excessive sweating, fainting, weakness, abnormal pulse, disorientation, irritability, hot, red and dry skin, headache in adults. Symptoms in children include refusal to feed, irritability, low urine output, dry mouth, dry skin and lack of tears, lethargy.
