Haj flights from all three embarkation points (EPs) in Maharashtra – Nagpur, Mumbai, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) – are likely to commence on May 26, aiming to transport approximately 36,000 pilgrims to Jeddah. The outbound flights to Jeddah are scheduled to conclude by June 9. Specifically for Nagpur city’s Haj pilgrims, there are plans for four flights departing in two batches on May 28 and 31 from Nagpur International Airport. Return flights for Nagpur EP are tentatively scheduled between July 6 and 9, while for passengers from other locations, return flights would be between July 1 to 21.
Pilgrims departing from Mumbai will have the lowest airfare at Rs 3,21,150, followed by Rs 3,42,100 for those from Nagpur, and Rs 4,07,200 for travelers from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, for the pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia. The cost from Sambhajinagar is the highest in the country. In the initial payment, all pilgrims are required to pay around Rs 2.51 lakh, with the remaining balance collected later based on the embarkation point. Additionally, an extra charge of approximately Rs 15,000 is being levied for qurbani (animal sacrifice).
