Four members of MLC Kiran Sarnaik’s family were killed in a road accident on Friday near Patur in Akola district. On Friday, two cars collided head-on around 3 pm on a flyover on the Washim-Akola highway near Patur. Sarnaik’s family was going to Akola from Washim.
Six people, including two infants, died in the accident. Kiran Sarnaik’s nephew Raghubvir and five others died in the accident.
Three people in the cars, who survived have been shifted to hospitals. Local people said that the accident occurred due to road construction work. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
