After hitting record highs, gold and silver prices are now on a downward trend across India, including Nagpur. Gold fell by Rs 800 per kg to Rs 71,600 per 10 grams, while silver dropped to Rs 80,600 per kg, excluding GST.
With Akshaya Tritiya approaching on May 10, traditionally a day for gold purchases, the timing of this decline is significant. Global trends suggest prices may continue to decrease, offering buyers an advantageous market.
In Nagpur’s bullion market, gold prices started at Rs 72,600 on April 29, fluctuated throughout the week, and settled at Rs 71,600 on May 4. Similarly, silver began at Rs 81,400 per kg and ended at Rs 80,600 during the same period.
Market experts anticipate further price drops, making this an opportune moment for gold and silver purchases ahead of Akshaya Tritiya.
