Due to the initiation of Limited Height Subway (LHS) pushing work at Itwari Railway Station by the Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway (SECR), multiple train services have been cancelled from May 7 to May 30, 2024.
The cancellation of these trains during the ongoing summer vacation period will impact thousands of passengers traveling to Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and the eastern regions of Maharashtra.
The majority of these canceled trains are MEMUs, which serve as vital links not only between roadside stations but also major cities. Among the affected services is the Dongargarh-Gondia-Dongargarh passenger train, canceled from May 8 to May 11. Additionally, the Gondia-Itwari-Gondia MEMU service will also remain suspended.
According to a statement from SECR, operations of the Itwari-Ramtek-Itwari passenger train will also be suspended during the same period. Additionally, passenger services between Itwari-Balaghat-Itwari, Itwari-Tirodi-Itwari, and Tumsar-Tirodi-Tumsar have been cancelled
Likewise, the Nagpur-Shahdol-Nagpur Express will be cancelled from May 8 to May 11.
During the LHS pushing works, the 08711/08712 Dongargarh-Gondia-Dongargarh MEMU Special, 08713/08716 Gondia-Itwari-Gondia MEMU Special and 11201/11202 Nagpur- Shahdol-Nagpur Express will remain cancelled from May 8-11, 08756/08751 Itwari-Ramtek- Itwari MEMU Special from May 9-11, 08754/08755 Itwari-Ramtek-Itwari MEMU Special, 08714/08715 Itwari-Balaghat-Itwari MEMU Special, 08281/08282 Itwari-Tirodi-Itwari Passenger Special and 08284/08283 Tirodi-Tumsar Road-Tirodi Passenger Special from May 8- 10, 18109/18110 Tatanagar-Itwari-Tatanagar Express from May 6-10, 11755/11756 Itwari- Rewa-Itwari Express from May 7-31 and the 11201/11202 Nagpur-Shahdol-Nagpur Express will remain cancelled from May 19-31.
