Fruit sellers, farmers and commission agents have camped in the hall of the counting center set up in the fruit market on the premises of Kalmana Market. Mangoes have been put up for sale in the barricades set up for counting of votes in this hall.
On May 1 and 2, the traders were given notices and asked to vacate the premises by May 5. The work of setting up barricades for counting of votes started in Hall No-4. On the other hand, tarpaulins were put up on the street in the fruit market to arrange the auction of various fruits. However, on Tuesday, the tarpaulin was torn by rains along with gale force winds. After that, the fruit traders camped in hall no-4 and kept fruits like mangoes there.
Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar inspected the Counting station and gave deadline till May 20 to the traders as per demand.
