Brixton Motorcycles, an Austrian manufacturer, has unveiled its plans to venture into the Indian market. In conjunction with this move, the company has revealed its collaboration with KAW Veloce Motors for production and distribution in the region. Furthermore, the heritage brand is preparing to launch a whole range of motorcycles designed to suit the needs of Indian consumers. As per the brand, its entry into India is supported by a strategic vision to introduce its European elegance to the Indian riders.
Brixton Motorcycles wants to tap into India’s strong presence in the global motorcycle market to boost its image in Europe and Southeast Asia. They plan to achieve this by introducing four new motorcycle models in India this year. These bikes are currently in development at Brixton’s design center in Austria and will be manufactured at a new, advanced facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, with support from KAW Group’s manufacturing expertise.
Furthermore, Brixton and KVMPL intend to set up a research and development center in India. This move is aimed at crafting models tailored for the Indian market and marks a significant milestone in positioning India as a key export center for Southeast Asian and African markets.
Brixton Motorcycles is also aiming to develop a comprehensive dealer network across multiple major Indian cities. To be specific, the brand plans on launching 15 dealerships by the end of this year and adding 50 more in 2025.
