Frustrated by Naxalite way of thinking
As many as 30 Naxalites surrendered before the security forces in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, on Tuesday. Out of them, nine had a prize of Rs 39 lakhs on their heads. Those who surrendered said that they were frustrated by the misleading views of the Naxalite mission.
Six women activists were among those who surrendered before Chhattisgarh Police and senior CRPF officers. The surrender is considered to be a rehabilitation scheme of the government. The surrendered Naxalites are given Rs 25,000 for their rehabilitation.
The surrendered 30 Naxalites include Mitki Kakem alias Sarita, Muri Mahanda alias Sukhmati, Rajita Wetti alias Rame, Deve Kowasi, Sinu Padam alias Chinna, Ayta Sodhi, Autu Karam, MUnna Hemla alias Chandu, Ayutu Mediam alias Sanu Karam, Ayuti Karam alias Chandu,. The others have been identified as Baman Karam, Sukhram Karam, Manku Tati, Munna Potam alias Mukesh, Santu Hemla, Rahula Hemla alias Chhotu, Sukhram alias Suresh Karam, Motu Hemla, Motu Kawsi, Ramesh Hemla, Lakhu Korsa, nandu Kursam, Somlu Kadti alias Somlu Tati, Santosh, Guddi Hapka, Jyoti Lekam, Suni Kudiam alias Gatta, Rajesh Korsa alias Baman Korsa, Lakhmu Pallo alias Lakh. All were involved in several attacks on security forces.
Last week 12 Naxalites were killed in Pedia village under Ganglur Police Station in Bijapur district. They have been identified and had a total prize money of Rs 31 lakhs.
