Police Commissioner Ravindra Singhal has taken strict action against police officers found guilty of misconduct while on duty. This move has sparked controversy within the police force. The suspended individuals have been named as Yuvraj Rathod and Aditya Yadav.
Reportedly, Yuvraj Rathod and Aditya Yadav were assigned election duty in Pune district. They traveled to Pune accompanied by male and female railway employees. Allegedly, during the journey, the two officers consumed alcohol and caused a disturbance in the railway compartment. They were accused of misbehaving with a female cooperative employee, leading to an argument when she resisted. Other police personnel present recorded the incident on video. The female employee who felt wronged filed a complaint with the GRP (Government Railway Police).
As a result of this incident, both officers have been promptly summoned to Nagpur. Police Commissioner Dr. Singhal has taken a serious stance on the matter and has suspended both officers.
