As part of a special operation by the Railway Protection Force of South-East-Central Railway, Nagpur, 13 illegal brokers were arrested by raiding various cities including Itwari and Moti Bagh. Total 159 reserved tickets were seized from them, the total value of which is said to be more than 2 lakhs.
There were 8 live tickets worth around 18000 rupees on which the journey was yet to take place. RPF is now preparing to cancel these tickets too.
In this action of RPF, two brokers have been arrested from Itwari, one from Moti Bagh, two from Bhandara, one each from Gondia and Dongargarh and three brokers each from Nainpur and Chhindwara. Computers, laptops, mobile phones and other material have also been recovered from them. These tickets were made by illegally charging huge commission from the passengers.
