Shri Jaikumar Srinivasan, Director (Finance & HR) of NTPC Limited, visited NTPC Mouda for an engaging interaction meeting with participants of the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2024. The visit was marked by a cultural program that celebrated the achievements and potential of the GEM participants.
The event commenced with the Deep Prajwalan Ceremony followed by the NTPC Geet and a screening of the GEM Movie. The participants presented their talents through a welcome song and various cultural performances, highlighting the skills and confidence they have developed through the GEM program.
In his address, Shri Srinivasan emphasized NTPC’s commitment to empowering girls by providing education and exposure to extracurricular activities, life skills, health hygiene, and leadership skills. He extended his best wishes to the GEM participants, expressing confidence in their bright futures.
“Given the opportunity, girl students will shine, and the sky is the limit for their achievements in life,” Shri Srinivasan remarked. He highlighted that the encouragement of one girl child can lead to the development of an entire family, pointing the far-reaching impact of initiatives like GEM.
