A total of 93.37 per cent students who appeared for HSC examinations conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, cleared the important stage of their education. Konkan division again remained at the top among the nine regions with 97.51 per cent result. Mumbai region secured the last position with 91.95 per cent results. The result of Nagpur region was 92.12 per cent.
The division-wise pass per cent are Pune – 94.44, Nagpur – 92.12, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar – 94.08, Mumbai – 91.95, Kolhapur – 94.24, Amravati – 93.00, Nashik – 94.71, Latur – 92.36 and Konkan – 97.51.
A total of 15,13,909 students were registered for the HSC examinations conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The number includes 8,21,450 boys and 6,92,424 girls.
The highest number of students appeared in the Science stream 7,60,046. This was followed by Arts – 3,81,982 and Commerce – 3,29,905.
Girl students performed better compared to boys. Their pass percentage is 3.84 per cent more than that of boys. The result of 26 subjects out of 154 is 100 per cent.
