The construction of cement roads is about to begin in the city, affecting traffic on three routes. Work orders for these roads were issued before the code of conduct, and permission is now being sought to stop traffic to start construction.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has issued notification to stop Vehicular movement from
Manish Nagar Railway Crossing to Pawanbhoomi Main Road
Mahadev Mandir Road
Humpyard Road to Lokmat Chowk (Balraj Marg)
and Anand Talkies to Dhantoli Police Station (to Bridge).
Traffic on all the three roads will be restricted till October 31. NMC has taken this decision for the construction of cement concrete road. The NMC plans to build a cement concrete road from Manish Nagar Railway Crossing to Pavanhumi Main Road and Mahadev Temple Road.
Traffic will be completely blocked from Mr. Garg’s house to Mr. Sudam’s house and from the field to Mr. Ghule’s house during the construction.
Furthermore, the construction along Humpyard Road to Lokmat Square (Balraj Marg) entails the creation of a cement concrete road extending from Vijay Anand Society to Dinanath School. Traffic will also be limited on this stretch.
For the route from Anand Talkies to Dhantoli Police Station, construction will begin on the left side of the road, while traffic will be diverted to the right side. Once the left side is completed, work will shift to the right side, with traffic rerouted accordingly.
