One person died and six others were injured in a blast at an explosives factory in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh, on Sunday. Some people are feared trapped inside the factory. Several others may be under the debris.
The blast took place in the explosives manufacturing unit near Pirda village in the Berla development bloc of the Bemetara district. An additional force has been called from the Capital City of Raipur.
The sound of the blast could be heard at a long distance of several kilometers.
Police and rescue teams have rushed to the spot. The injured have been shifted to hospitals.
The incident occurred after a blast in a chemical factory in Thane district killing nine people and fire in an Ink Factory in Nagpur.
