Nagpur-based neuropsychiatrist Dr Harkishan Mamtani has been selected for the prestigious “Young Investigator Award” by the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry. The award will be presented at the 16th World Congress of Biological Psychiatry, in Istanbul, Turkey in June. Dr Harkishan will also present his work on autoimmune encephalitis at this international congress.
Dr Harkishan completed his MD in Psychiatry from the esteemed National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru and holds an MRCPsych from the UK. He has authored more than 25 research papers in leading national and international scientific journals. His expertise includes managing a range of neuropsychiatric disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addictive disorders, and psychosexual disorders. Currently, Dr Harkishan practices at Manoved in Jaripatka and is in the process of establishing a new branch in Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.
