In a significant development, the Central Railway has declared a 36-hour mega block commencing from midnight on June 1st, lasting until the afternoon of June 2nd. This decision stems from the imperative extension of platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai.
The extension project has disrupted the regular train schedule, resulting in the cancellation of numerous services. Notably, six trains, including the Hussain Sagar Express, Amravati CSMT Express, Mahalaxmi Express, Nagpur CSMT Duronto Express, Howrah CSMT Express, and Nanded CSMT Express, scheduled to depart on May 31st, have been axed.
Furthermore, 36 additional trains, alongside the CSMT-Nagpur Duronto service set to depart on June 1st, have also been canceled, causing inconvenience to commuters and travelers alike. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing situation.
