The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced three candidates for the coming elections to the Maharashtra Legislative Council. The name of the fourth candidate was not declared. BJP’s National General Secretary Arun Sinha announced on Monday.
Niranjan Davkhare will contest from the Konkan Graduates Constituency, while Kiran Shelar will be the candidate from the Mumbai Graduates Constituency. Shivnath Darade has been named for Mumbai’s Teachers Constituency.
Maha-Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has already announced the names of four candidates for which polling will be held on June 26. Out of the four Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) fielded three candidates, while Congress will contest on one seat..
The tenure of four members of the Legislative Council will end on July 7.
