A troubling case has emerged involving businessman Karan Tuli, who allegedly molested a female doctor and threatened to kidnap her. Based on the victim’s complaint, the Sadar police have registered a case against Tuli for molestation and intimidation. This incident has sent shockwaves through the city’s medical community.
The victim, a 44-year-old doctor, runs a hospital in Sadar with her husband. Tuli, a regular patient at the hospital, was admitted for treatment on May 22 and left on May 25 without notifying the staff or settling his bill.
Upon discovering the unpaid bill, the doctor’s husband contacted Tuli, who promised to have his brother pay the amount within a few days. However, instead of fulfilling his promise, Tuli began harassing the female doctor with late-night phone calls.
According to the victim’s complaint, Tuli made inappropriate comments during these calls. On the night of June 1, he called her on WhatsApp, expressing a desire to be readmitted to the hospital.
The case has raised serious concerns among the city’s doctors, highlighting the need for stronger measures to protect healthcare professionals from such threats and harassment.
