The Senior Citizen Council of Nagpur District (SCCND) will now provide free assistance to senior citizens once a week at all 33 police stations across the city.
In a press release, SCCND Secretary Suresh Rewatkar stated that District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar had approved the proposal from the Nagpur District Senior Citizen Coordination and Control Committee on April 30.
As per the arrangement, the list of individuals offering free assistance to senior citizens was submitted to the District Collector.
Commissioner of Police. SCCND President Manoharrao Kharche and Secretary Rewatkar urged them to give permission as per the Government Resolution dated July 9, 2018, he added.
The SCCND volunteers would provide free assistance to senior citizens on ‘Mission Accuracy’ for updating voters’ list and help them in solving their problems.
The SCCND would provide information to senior citizens about ‘Chief Minister Vayoshree Yojana’ so that they would avail benefits from the Government.
