Arush Chitre secured victory without a single loss, claiming the championship title at the Nagpur District 95th Weekend Open Rapid chess tournament held at the NDCA hall of Dhanwate National College. In the concluding round, Arush defeated Kunal Wahane to secure all seven points and lead the standings. Following closely behind, Sahejveer Singh Maras attained the second position with a total of six points.
A total of 48 players participated in the two-day tournament. Later chief arbiter Pravin Pantawane distributed the prizes.
