A string of vehicles lines both sides of the road, stretching from Agrasen Square to Pachpaoli bridge, hindered by its uneven surface, slowing down traffic. Adding to the concern is a leaking water pipeline near Daga Hospital gate, causing muddy and hazardous road conditions. This issue has persisted for three months, yet civic authorities seem indifferent to the inconvenience faced by patients and their families.
Adding further, Kewalramani said the visitors to market are fed up with the chaotic work and many of them have stopped coming. Regular customers,
he said, complaining about lot of difficulties in reach- ing the shops. Now that the design of the upper deck of the fly-over has been approved, the pace of work needs to be increased.
Similarly, the road near Pachpaoli bridge is closed for movement of traffic but no proper indication boards about closure are put up. So people as usual move ahead and only on reaching there they realise that the road is closed. Thus again the people have to take a long detour and come back and take alternate roads to reach North Nagpur.
For the road users, there is lurking danger as no lights have been affixed by the contractor on the stretch.
