The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain in 16 districts of the state. Yellow alert has been issued in Yavatmal, Wardha, Amravati, Buldhana, Washim of Vidarbha.
Along with this, yellow alert has been issued in Ratnagiri, Pune, Thane, Ahmednagar, Osmanabad, Solapur, Latur, Nashik districts. Due to the timely arrival of monsoon, farmers have started their work.
Simultaneously, according to the Meteorological Department, the normal date of arrival of monsoon in Vidarbha is June 15. According to the earlier long-term forecast, the monsoon is likely to reach this region on time due to favourable weather conditions.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain at some places in Konkan and Vidarbha and at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha in the next 24 hours.
