A 72-year-old woman, out for her morning walk, was attacked by a group of stray dogs near Hotel Pride on Wardha Road. The dogs inflicted severe injuries by biting her across her body. After receiving treatment at a private hospital, she returned home on Monday but remains profoundly affected by the attack. This marks the second similar incident in the area within the past week, leaving elderly residents of Ujjwal Nagar and Kannamwar Nagar living in fear of dog attacks.
Rajani Narendra Panpaliya, a resident of Ujjwal Nagar, left her house for her morning walk on Friday, June 14, at 6:15 am. As she walked towards the airport, she was attacked by stray dogs near Hotel Pride in an alley. The sudden attack scared her, and she fell while trying to escape. Despite her efforts, the dogs kept biting her all over her body, except her face, causing serious injuries. The incident took place early in the morning when there was minimal traffic, enabling the dogs to inflict significant harm on her.
She was found unconscious at the scene. A young man passing by finally chased the dogs away and informed Rajani Panpaliya’s family. Her husband rushed to the scene and took her to a private hospital, where she was hospitalized for three days. Now, she is back home, still in pain from her injuries. Notably, just a day before the attack on Rajani Panpaliya, another woman in the same area was also attacked by dogs and seriously injured.
