The schools in Nagpur district and the Vidarbha region are scheduled to reopen on July 1st. Ulhas Narad, Deputy Director (Education), has issued a letter to all Education Officers, instructing them to commence the new academic session from July 1st.
Summer vacations commenced on May 1. Initially, it was decided that schools would resume on June 15. But then the issue of summer heat in Vidarbha was taken into account and it was decided that the schools should start from June 30. Since June 30 falls on Sunday, the authorities have decided to re-open the schools in the region on July 1.
